SOSOADAE fiction understands story as a ritual space. We call for stories that are entertaining, “non-traditional”, informative, and transformative. These stories can substantively engage and challenge all pre-colonial, colonial, and post-colonial experiences and imagination.
Submissions open to:
- Black indigenes in the Americas, Asia, Africa, and the diaspora.
- Marginalized storytellers of narrative fiction disrupting euro-colonial and anti-Black literary imagination.
- Long- and short-form narrative fiction – The author is the genre.

Submit 2.5k words for the audio zine – SOSOADAE gets one-time audio, digital, and print rights upon acceptance.
Eligible works:
- Narrative fiction up to 2,500 words.
- Extracts from longer works or works-in-progress (though self-contained and polished enough for publication)
